They come in 700W and 500W capacities and have 80 Plus Bronze rating

Power supplies are an essential part of all computers, just like central processing units actually, which is why all of them, even DeepCool's latest pair, are prone to be very closely examined by their buyers.

You read right, DeepCool has launched a new pair of power supply units. The company deals in cases and coolers you see, but PSUs are often taken together with cases and cooling equipment, so the company deals in such things as well.

For good reason too, because those in the DIY (do-it-yourself) PC market have become quite thorough when it comes to PSUs.

After all, people aren't looking only for high wattages, like they were a decade or two ago. Now, they are concerned with power efficiency, endurance and stability as well.

It comes with the territory of being better (and more easily) informed, thanks to the easy information proliferation enabled by the Internet.

The two new power supplies from DeepCool are called DA600 and DA500-M and have wattages of 700W and 500W, respectively (as indicated by their names).

They are mid-range models which, nonetheless, have semi-modular cables. The 24-pin ATX and the 4+4 pin EPS connectors are fixed, but the others are attached at users' discretion. All cables are flat though.

Furthermore, the PSUs have double-layer EMI filters and modern PSU protections, plus a high enough efficiency to earn 80 Plus Bronze rating.

Finally, there are enough PCI Express power cables for up to two add-in graphics cards (on the 500W PSU) or three of them (on the 700W one).

Don't think it'll handle more than two GTX TITAN Black cards though, or even a pair of them. Even one would be overkill, though the point is moot since the new NVIDIA board isn't likely to be used in a mid-range computer.

Unfortunately, DeepCool did not see it fit to share with the world the prices of the mid-range gaming PC-oriented 700W DA700, and 500W DA500-M PSUs.
