Microsoft will roll out the last Patch Tuesday updates of the year tomorrow, planning to issue 11 different fixes supposed to correct flaws in Windows, Office, Internet Explorer, and Lync.

Absolutely all Windows versions on the market will get patched this week, starting with the aging XP and ending with the newly-released Windows 8.1.

Five of the updates are rated as critical, while six are said to close potential remote code execution vulnerabilities which would allow an attacker to run malicious apps on an unpatched system.

As usual, all fixes will be delivered via Windows Update, so no user interaction is needed. Just make sure that your computers are connected to the Internet to automatically download and install the released updates.

Some of the patches also require computer reboots, so in case you're an IT administrator in charge of larger organizations, make sure that all systems save their work before applying this month's patches.
