Microsoft has announced earlier today that this month’s Patch Tuesday cycle would include critical updates for several products, including Windows and Internet Explorer.

As far as the company’s in-house browser is concerned, all versions of Internet Explorer are going to be patched next week.

Security vulnerabilities have been found in IE6, IE7, IE8, IE9, and IE10 running on basically all versions of Windows still supported by Microsoft, including here Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8.

In addition, Internet Explorer 10 on Windows RT will be patched as well, but no specifics have been provided, as Microsoft tries to protect users from any potential attack that might attempt to exploit the vulnerabilities.

As usual, all fixes will be delivered via the integrated Windows Update, so no user interaction is needed. More details on the patched flaws will be provided on Tuesday morning.
