14 DAY TRIAL // I’ve already reported to you that Amazon is selling Windows Store gift cards, but Microsoft has until now refused to comment on this new concept, even though people familiar with the matter hinted that it could be a new program prepared for Windows 8.1.
A post of Twitter user Nawzil comes to set things straight in this matter, as Windows Store Gift Cards are apparently part of the 8.1 release cycle.
Microsoft reportedly claims that gift cards “will be seen in-store with the launch of Windows 8.1 and can be used to purchase apps, games, and more. They are an excellent attach opportunity and should be recommended with every Windows device.”
Gift cars must be redeemed with a Microsoft account and can be used in the Windows Store, Windows Phone Store, or the Xbox store.
