14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft currently has two different Surface tablets on the market, but it seems that the company is preparing to launch some new devices anytime soon.
Microsoft's chief financial officer Peter Kline confirmed during the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference that his company was developing some new Windows 8 tablets that may arrive in various sizes, but it all depends on customer demand.
“I think we’re really set up to deliver the most versatile set of experiences across form factors, whether that’s 4-inch, 5-inch, 7-inch, 8-inch, 10-inch, 13-inch. And along with our partners in the ecosystem, we’ll work through that based on underlying demand,” he was quoted as saying by GeekWire.com.
This isn’t the first time when Microsoft is rumored to be working on new tablets, as mini Surface versions have been believed to be in the works since late 2012. A 7-inch tablet specifically optimized for gaming purposes and running Windows 8 is projected to hit the shelves this year.
