As I’ve told you not a long time ago, Microsoft is improving the so-called Windows 8.1 Start Menu, the one that can be easily launched by right-clicking in the lower left corner, with new power options.

This screenshot that reached the web a few hours ago shows that the company is indeed trying to make it easier for everyone to shut down and restart computers.

The main difference is that users who want to open this menu are now required to right-click the new Start button that is always visible when working on the desktop and hidden in Metro mode.

The new option has been spotted in Windows Server 2012 R2, but expect it to be offered in Windows 8.1 Preview as well. More details will be provided tomorrow when Microsoft officially unveils the first Windows 8 overhaul.
