Store visitors will have the chance to win tickets for a Pitbull concert

Microsoft has just announced a series of midnight launch events for the new Surface tablet across the United States, at the same time offering store visitors the chance to win tickets for a Pitbull concert.

The events will debut at 10 p.m. local time on October 21 and each participating store will host what Microsoft calls the Surface Challenge, which includes prizes such as tickets for the Mall at Millenia store opening in Orlando, Fla. where Pitbull will perform.

“We’ve worked hard to ensure that Microsoft retail stores will be the best place to experience and purchase the most productive tablet on the planet — Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2,” said David McAughan, chief operating officer of Microsoft Retail Stores.

“Our stores are all about having fun with our customers and connecting with local communities. These Surface launch events are a great example of the type of experiences you can enjoy at our stores as we kick off the holiday season.”
