Microsoft is continually updating the Windows Vista pricing details. And - as a consequence - there are now speculations according to which the Redmond Company will introduce a Vista Family Pack discount when the operating system ships to the general public on January 30, 2007.

According to independent sources, the Redmond Company will deliver clarifications related to the availability and details of the Windows Vista Family Pack discount over the upcoming days, as the operating system's customer launch is 13 days away, at the time of this article.

As of yet, Microsoft has failed to either conform or deny the speculations, or to offer any insight on the possibility of the discount. The discount offer will be available to all customers that will purchase a full license of Windows Vista Ultimate. Bink.nu revealed that Microsoft is considering shaving off a considerable amount from the price of Windows Vista Home Premium.

Clients that will acquire Windows Vista Ultimate will be able to purchase two additional copies of Vista Home Premium at a considerably reduced price. The current estimated retail price tag of Vista Home Premium is $239. Via the Microsoft Family Pack discount, customers will be able to buy two copies of Vista Home Premium at a price ranging from $100 to $200.

Vista customers will only have to acquire a single DVD of Windows Vista with a full license of the Ultimate edition, and then be able to install three copies of the operating system, following the additional purchase of the discounted Home Premium licenses.

Although the actual discount amount is still to be confirmed by the Redmond Company, speculations say that the price of Vista Home Premium will range from $50 to $100 a pop.
