Although Microsoft won’t hold the main keynote at the upcoming CES in Las Vegas, the Redmond-based technology giant will still attend the show and will even “have something,” as CEA president and CEO Gary Shapiro told VentureBeat.

While details on Microsoft’s “something” are pretty scarce at the moment, the upcoming CES would be the perfect time for the Redmond-based company to introduce its new Surface Pro tablet.

On the other hand, Microsoft’s booth at the consumer electronics tradeshow will most likely let visitors give Windows 8 a spin and it will definitely display the new Surface tablet revealed today.

Some other products are also expected to be on display, but more information will probably be released by Microsoft itself before year’s end.
