At the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Redmond-based giant Microsoft announced a new application for mobile devices aimed at providing users with interaction with their Xbox 360 consoles, namely Xbox SmartGlass.

The app was announced for Windows Phone, Android and iOS devices, enabling easy navigation on the large screens of TVs with the help of a mobile device.

Moreover, the mobile app will also pack game interaction features, with additional content being pushed to the small screen while users engage in action on the large screens.

Although said to be designed mainly for Windows Phone devices (and for upcoming Windows 8 tablets, for that matter), the game interaction feature should be available on Android and iOS as well.

The new application is meant to make entertainment more interactive and fun, while being capable of connecting phones, PCs and tablets with the Xbox 360 console.
