Windows 8 remains a very controversial product, especially because Microsoft doesn’t provide us with some new sale stats, so analysts continue to blast the operating system and the tech giant’s strategy for its new products.

Sterne Agee analyst Shaw Wu is one of those who believe that Microsoft got it all wrong when it comes to Windows 8, as trying to force users to adopt a refreshed interface isn’t quite the best idea. Not with so many alternatives on the market, at least.

“We frankly believe [Microsoft's] strategy of forcing user interface changes that nobody wants has proven to be a disaster,” Wu was quoted as saying by The New Zealand Herald.

Microsoft, on the other hand, seems to be pleased with Windows 8’s sales performance, even though the company is already getting ready to release a major upgrade sometime this summer.
