Microsoft has launched a new significant price cut for the Surface RT, but as far as the Pro version of the tablet is concerned, pricing remains unchanged.

According to analyst Paul Mueller, Microsoft has no reason to think about discounting the Surface Pro because the device is already selling extremely well.

“Microsoft has no reason to lower the price of the Surface Pro because the item is selling well. It is selling far better worldwide than Microsoft has ever anticipated. You won't hear the media talking about that,” he was quoted as saying by Examiner.

The Surface Pro is currently available in two different models, with 64 GB or 128 GB of storage space and pricing starting at $899 (€780). A few markets have also received a 256 GB version too.
