Microsoft rolled out a new Outlook.com advertisement this A.M. and, aside from the fact that the company is thus continuing its marketing blitz for the email platform, it also revealed some of the upcoming features of the service.

The Redmond-based technology giant is now working to integrate Skype into Outlook.com, and thus allow users to start a video call straight from their inbox.

At this point, there are no details on the Skype integration, but Microsoft said in the video that this new feature is “coming soon,” so expect it in the next few months.

Microsoft is betting big on the social side of its email service, as Outlook.com is already capable of connecting with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts, so Skype integration seems to be just a small piece of a much larger puzzle.
