The Malicious Software Removal Tool gets a new version

Microsoft has just released a new version of its popular Malicious Software Removal Tool, adding detection and cleaning features for some new threats.

As you probably know by now, the Malicious Software Removal Tool is an application aimed at all user categories who want to quickly scan the computer and detect any existing malware.

It needs nothing more than basic computer knowledge and while it does an excellent job on most Windows workstations, it does not include real-time protection.

This means that it can’t replace an antivirus software completely, so you’re still recommended to install a security app that can provide you with such a feature.

The 4.14 version comes with detection and cleaning capabilities for Folstart, Phorpiex and Wheelsof.
