Microsoft’s Big Box of Awesome contest is back, and customers can head over to Facebook in order to enter, just as was the case with the first iteration.

Big Box of Awesome 2 offers participants the chance to win some really great prizes from the software giant.

Microsoft is calling the first edition of the Big Box of Awesome contest its most popular sweepstakes ever, and indicates that it’s trying to up the ante with the introduction of Big Box of Awesome 2.

The only caveat to the sweepstakes is the fact that only U.S. legal residents are allowed to enter, just as it was the case with the first edition.

“Enter the Sweepstakes by accessing http://www.facebook.com/Microsoft and if you are already a fan of “Microsoft on Facebook”, click on the tab labeled “Big Box of Awesome 2” to access the Sweepstakes Application (“Application”). If you are not already a fan, then become a fan by clicking on the “Like” button. After you access the Application, complete all of the registration requirements to be entered to win,” Microsoft noted.

“Once registered, you will have the opportunity to share the Sweepstakes site with a friend. If the friend registers for the Sweepstakes via the link provided in your message, you will receive an additional Sweepstakes entry.”

The software giant is limiting the number of additional entries per person to no less than 100, which means that users with a “collection” of Facebook friends can drastically improve their chances at winning Microsoft’s Big Box of Awesome 2.

Of course, the list of prizes for the Big Box of Awesome 2 sweepstakes is more than worth the effort of entering, with the company ready to hand over a Sony Vaio L Series All-In-One Touchscreen PC running Windows 7, an Xbox 360 250 GB console with Kinect, a copy of Office Home and Business 2010, one LifeCam Studio Webcam, an Xbox LIVE 12-month Gold Membership, an HTC TITAN Windows Phone, a Wireless N Router and three Xbox games: Dance Central 2, Kinect Sports: Season 2, and Forza Motorsport 4.
