Microsoft’s anti-Gmail petition is attracting new signatures every day, so nearly 120,000 users around the world have decided to tell Google “to stop going through emails to sell ads,” as Microsoft explained.

Even though the goal was to get 100,000 signatures, Microsoft has decided to let the petition online, most likely in an attempt to show everyone that its Scroogled campaign goes according to the plan.

“Even if you don't use Gmail, Google will still go through emails you send to Gmail addresses in order to sell ads -- despite you never having agreed to their terms of service. There is absolutely no way to opt out, whether you use Gmail or not,” Microsoft explained in the petition.

Other Scroogled attacks have been launched as well, so make sure you have a look at the official page of the campaign and use the comment box below to share your opinion on this.
