Microsoft is reportedly negotiating with the Montenegro government the possibility of opening an innovation center in the country that could support the local economy and enhance the business development.
A report by Balkans.com informs that Microsoft has already agreed to provide support for the country’s education system, so a new deal would represent an expansion of the agreement into new market sectors.
Microsoft is yet to issue a statement on the matter but, according to the source, Microsoft officials have already met with Montenegro's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Information Society and Telecommunications Vujica Lazović to discuss this project.
Of course, such a project would clearly support Microsoft’s expansion plans in Europe, as the Redmond-based technology giant is looking to increase its presence on the Old Continent and sign new deals with European governments.
