Microsoft and telecommunications firm Telenor have announced the signing of a new agreement over a long-term collaboration on cloud services.

Telenor will be allowed to sell licenses for Office 365 and other products, including a telephony service created with the help of Microsoft’s very own Lync Online.

The two companies will thus try to integrate two different products, Telenor's mobile business network “Mobilt Bedriftsnett” and Microsoft Office 365, into a single, standalone package.

“With Telenor's telephony services fully integrated into Lync Online and Office 365, companies will be able to optimise their telecomms, collaboration and IT infrastructures,” Microsoft Norway Business and Partners Director Dagfinn Ringås said in a public statement.

Office 365 will be officially released in January 2013, while Telenor’s application with voice integration is scheduled to see daylight in the fourth quarter of 2013.
