According to Gizmodo, the adjacent photo is an exclusive preview of the upcoming Microsoft Zune digital media player.
If the device contained in the photography is actually Zune, is a question whose answer will come once the Redmond Company will release its iPod rival later this year.
Suppositions surrounding Microsoft's attempt at Apple's jugular with Zune reveal that the software giant produced an estimated 150 prototypes of the digital music player, each one individualized by a unique set of colors in order to prevent information leaks.
Regarding the device's design elements, Gizmodo reveals that Microsoft has not copied iPod's navigation wheel system, as it uses scroll buttons in a manner similar to the Windows Media Center. Apparently Zune will also share MCE 2005's interface details, semi-transparent fonts and GUI design. White text on highly colored, textured backgrounds will complement the overall design for which additional skins will undoubtedly be provided.
Microsoft has not commented in any way on the issue.
