14 DAY TRIAL // Phil Spencer, a vice president of the Microsoft Game Studios, says that the newly revealed Halo title for the Xbox One is a legitimate entry in the series, although the structure is now closer to that of a saga.
The executive tells Gamespot that, "Having come out and announce the game, making sure people know it’s a legitimate version of Halo coming out, and when it’s coming out, and features that they’re focused on we thought was…important.".
More information about the actual story will be offered at a later date.
Spencer does suggest that the new Halo title will be linked to the Reclaimer trilogy that Halo 4 initiated, although the game might not follow the same story threads.
The new Halo announcement consisted of a mysterious desert teaser that failed to offer any gameplay footage.
