Microsoft says that it plans to invest more than 1 billion dollars (771 million Euro) in order to develop high-profile video games for its new Xbox One home console.

Don Mattrick, the leader of the division working on the new device, tells The Official Xbox Magazine that the big investment is required in order to make sure that the promised 15 exclusive titles for the Xbox One are launched in its first year of availability.

He states, “There are great hits, there’s innovation, and there are world class creators plugged in. There’s a lot of hyperbole about things, but I think we’re going to deliver.”

Many fans of the Xbox 360 were concerned after the Microsoft reveal event, feeling that the company spent too much time talking about entertainment and partnerships with the NFL for football transmissions.
