Windows Vista is in Microsoft's vision the perfect operating system to enable high level flexibility scenarios. In order to underline Vista's crucial role in delivering the support infrastructure for valid flexible and remote work schedules, the operating system's mobility team commissioned a market study to Kelton Research. The Flextime Survey, performed online and via email invitation on 542 workers, revealed that 77% of respondents would manage their work hours better or would prefer to work remotely.

"Even once the technology is in place, employers are often not as excited about flextime
arrangements as employees, but they should be," said Patricia Roehling, a professor of psychology at Hope College and the former director of research at the Cornell Employment and Family Careers Institute. "Studies have found that between 75 and 85 percent of workers were more productive when working in a flexible environment, and that employers can trim absenteeism by 60 percent which, in one study, saved an employer up to $2,000 per employee per year. Finally, workers who are allowed to work remotely report greater job satisfaction and commitment and are less likely to voluntarily leave their job or look for another job."

Microsoft has applauded Windows Vista for the mobility, security and communications features designed to address mobile and remote work scenarios. Windows Vista brigs to the table increased security in comparison with all other Windows platforms in tandem with enhanced wireless security protocols for Wi-Fi connectivity.

Moreover, the Windows Mobility Center enables Vista users to centralize and access effortlessly mobile PC settings. Vista also features the Windows Mobile Device Center, allowing users to make streamlined transfers between the operating system and Smartphones running Windows mobile.

Windows Remote Assistance lends a helping hand with troubleshooting computer problems, the Windows Meeting Space enables collaboration and productivity and the BitLocker Drive Encryption will keep the data on the machine safe.

MS is obviously joking. Vista is as perfect as vampires are able to live in daylight. Or as all people in the world is rich as Bill Gates. At the moment Vista is a good looking (?) crap. Nothing more, nothing less. The best windows until now was 3.1. It had very little knowledge compared to XP, but there was no problem with it ever. At least I did not noticed any. By the time Vista could become perfect it will be replaced by the next version of Windows. And there's no doubt about it.
