Microsoft has just released a new version of the News app pre-installed on all copies of Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, so users are recommended to deploy it as fast as possible.

Redmond hasn’t released any changelog on this particular build, but it’s safe to assume that the company focused on addressing bugs and fixing performance and stability issues in the app.

The News app lets you not only read the latest news, but also customize the home screen with your own stores, add sources and topics, check out internal editions, and even access international stories based on your own settings.

The application obviously comes with support for both Windows RT 8.1 and Windows 8.1, so you can install it on desktops and tablets alike.

Overall, the update clearly comes in handy, so download Bing News for Windows 8 right now to get all improvements on your device too.
