14 DAY TRIAL // An updated flavor of the Xbox Games application is now available for download for the owners of Windows Phone 8.1 devices, namely version 2.0.1404.16001.
The platform has landed on handsets earlier this week in the form of a Developer Preview, and it seems that Microsoft is determined to deliver as many updates to it as possible.
Only yesterday, the company announced an update for the Xbox Music app, set to arrive as soon as the next week, and the aforementioned Xbox Games app has been already updated.
The new app iteration should provide users with fixes for some of the issues they have been plagued with since installing the new platform release, though Microsoft did not provide specific details on what the update includes.
Through the Xbox Games app, Windows Phone 8.1 users will receive access to all of their games, as well as the possibility to access their Xbox Live gamer profile, modify their avatar, and update account info.
At the same time, the app will enable users to connect with their Xbox Live friends, see invitations to games coming from their friends, and get notifications for Xbox Live messages and friend requests.
The updated Games application is available for download through the Windows Phone Store, completely free.
