Microsoft has made available a new firmware package targeted at its Xbox 360 gaming console, namely version 2.0.16747.0, which adds the ability to continue Xbox video rentals on another system than the one on which it was started.

Installing this update is quite easy and can be performed either automatically by connecting the console to an internet network (the Xbox will do the rest), or manually using a USB or CD/DVD on which you have transferred the update.

Therefore, if you don’t have an internet connection available or don’t want to use one, then get the proper downloadable package suitable with the desired update method (USB or CD/DVD), and extract it.

Now copy the archive’s content onto a USB drive and plug it into the console’s USB port or burn the mentioned files to a compact disc and then insert it into the Xbox’s disc drive, and restart the gaming console.

After the unit reboots, you must agree with the update by selecting the “Yes” option when asked, and the installation will start automatically.

As the new system software has large file size (108 MB), it would be best if you used a download manager for getting the update on your computer in order to be able to resume the download in case any network errors are encountered.

That being said, if you consider applying this release, download Microsoft Xbox 360 Firmware 2.0.16747.0 that best describes the desired installation method, take into account all the aforementioned aspects, and install the new update.
