Microsoft has recently released an update for the Trackpad Settings app for Windows 8, trying to address a bug that prevented the tool from detecting Surface Pro Touch Covers

As you probably know if you’re a Surface tablet owner, Trackpad Settings is supposed to provide users with more configuration options, such as tap gestures and scrolling speed.

Due to a bug spotted after this month’s firmware update, the app no longer recognized the Touch Cover of a number of Surface Pros, with Microsoft promising to offer a fix as soon as possible.

While it’s not yet clear whether this update indeed solves all previous problems with the Touch Covers, Surface Pro owners who installed Trackpad Settings are recommended to download and install the new version of the tool as soon as possible using the integrated Windows Store.
