14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has just rolled out a new version of SkyDrive client for Windows computers, but the company is yet to provide us with some official release notes.
Microsoft SkyDrive 2013 Build 17.0.2011.0627 most likely packs stability and performance improvements, so consumers who are using SkyDrive on a regular basis should get this version as soon as possible.
The desktop flavor of the client works on all Windows editions still supported by Microsoft, including XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 2008, with both 32- and 64-bit versions being supported.
No update is available for the Metro SkyDrive, but given the fact that the company recently refreshed the built-in client in Windows 8.1 Preview, new improvements are highly unlikely in the next few months for Windows 8 and Windows RT users.
