The official Outlook application for Android devices has just received a major update that brings lots of new features to those who are using Microsoft’s email service.

With more than 10 million downloads on Google Play Store, Outlook is definitely among the most popular apps for Android devices. However, Microsoft still has a lot of work to do to make the user experience smoother than it currently is.

With a rating of 3.7 out of 5.0, Outlook does seem to offer a mediocre email experience for the moment, but through regular updates that add new features and improve the app’s overall performance, the app will only get better and better.

The newest update for Outlook.com application for Android devices promises to do just that, so expect an improved user experience thanks to several new features that have been added in the latest version.

The most important new feature seems to be the unlimited sync of all email history for full offline access. This means Android users will now be able to access their email offline after they sync their email history.

But this is not all. The latest update brings server-side search for easy access to all emails, not just the ones synced to the Android phone. Also, users will now be able to send emails from Outlook.com aliases.

Some visual improvements have been included in the update as well, so expect eight new colors with which you will be now able to customize the application interface.

Another new feature introduced via the newest update is the ability to set and manage vacation replies. Last but not least, Microsoft also added Traditional Chinese language support for the Outlook.com app.

These are all the new changes included in the latest update, but Outlook offers lots of other features as well. For example, users can sync Outlook.com Calendar and Contacts with their devices or view and sync folders and sub-folders.

Outlook users can also group their email conversations with Conversation Threading, or even sync multiple accounts. You can also switch accounts or access folders and sub-folders easily by selecting the top left menu.

In case you want a certain folder to automatically sync, you can do that from the application’s settings menu by selecting Sync, Folders, and then the specific folder that you want to sync.

You can now download Outlook.com for Android 7.8.2 for free via Google Play store. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 2.2 and up.
