Microsoft’s cloud storage solution OneDrive is available for everyone regardless of what operating system one is using. Obviously, Windows Phone users have some advantages over Android and iOS fans, but no matter what mobile platform you use, you should be able to access Microsoft’s OneDrive service.

Today, it’s the Android users that got some improvements to their OneDrive application that allows them to benefit from Microsoft’s OneDrive cloud storage services.

The first and most obvious change would be the new navigation drawer for switching between pivots, which wasn’t available in the previous version of OneDrive.

Aside from that, Microsoft also confirmed that it added a new a feature that would allow OneDrive for Android users to search for their files and folders while on the move.

Last but not least, developers have finally added the option to refresh OneDrive manually by including the “Pull to refresh” option in this update.

Those who already have the application installed should check for update, while new users can now download OneDrive for Android 2.6.1 for free via Google Play Store.

The application should be fully compatible with most devices powered by Android 2.3 and up. Keep in mind that some features may not work on devices that do not run at least Android 4.0 OS.
