Microsoft is now making the final adjustments to Windows 8.1 RTM, but the company also takes time to update the existing Metro apps currently available in Windows 8.

The Video app, for instance, has been updated to look more like Windows 8.1, so the application now comes with an improved UI and better live tiles to show the content you’re playing right on the Start screen.

Just like before, the update is waiting for your download in the Windows Store, so make sure you get it as soon as possible.

As for Windows 8.1, rumor has it that the OS update could reach the RTM development stage on August 23, while OEMs are on track to get it in the last week of the month.

The final launch date is October 18, but Windows 8 users will also be allowed to get it from the Store a day earlier.
