Redmond has just released a new version of its HealthVault application aimed at Windows 8 users, thus providing them with a few more improvements on both desktops and tablets.

The official release notes point to minor bug fixes, but it’s more important to know that previous builds bought several new options, including tools to track and chart a child’s height and blood glucose measurements, as well as tools to customize the home screen.

“HealthVault for Windows helps you take control of your health and keep your most important health information at your fingertips. Set health goals, track progress, and discover trends,” the app description now states.

Of course, HealthVault works like a charm on Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1 too, so you can install it even if you made the move to the new OS version.
