Microsoft’s Patch Tuesday updates rolled out today bring quite a lot of improvements, including some enhancements for the desktop side of cloud-based storage service SkyDrive.

According to a report by LiveSide.net, one of the patches delivered to Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1 devices via Windows Update brings improvements for SkyDrive, including a sync icon in the taskbar and updated settings.

“This update improves the Skydrive experience for all users in Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2,” it’s mentioned in the description of KB2923768 bulletin released this morning.

Just like all the other patches released today, the new bulletin is being shipped to users through the integrated Windows Update, which means that you have nothing much to do after connecting your computer to the Internet.
