Along with the release of a new Windows 10 for Phones Technical Preview build, Microsoft announced the Bing.com Mobile homepage just got a complete makeover.

According to Redmond, the new version of the homepage will be available on iPhone and Android smartphones. Besides that, Microsoft mentioned some of the most important changes it has done to Bing.com Mobile homepage.

First and foremost, the users interface has been redesigned. Based on users feedback, they've been able to determine that Android and iOS fans prefer a swipe-up card layout, a translucent color scheme and ~50 pixel initial card peak height.

There's a new “image of the day” (IOTD) card that provides users with information about today's homepage image. Additionally, a new UX has been implemented to help users learn more about a certain topic.

Several new cards have been made available to users

Microsoft also added a new “Popular Now” section that features top trending stories which is supposed to bring the desktop's news carousel experience to mobile.

“News consumption is a common activity on mobile devices. We also know that on Bing.com desktop, the homepage news carousel at the bottom of the page is one of the most highly engaged features, connecting users to news stories across the web.

We select the top trending stories for you and update them throughout the day. Moving forward, we will continue to make these stories even more relevant and personal,” explains the Bing Team in a blog post.

Bing Rewards card program has been improved by adding a new Rewards card which gives users a quicker way to access it and view their status.

A new Settings card has been implemented too, which allows users to discover and take action quickly. Last but not least, the new Footer card with “Send feedback” link has been added so that users can send their thoughts and suggestions much easier.
