Windows Live Ideas is expecting sign ups for the testing of Windows live OneCare 1.5 Beta. But there are a few shortcomings to the testing process. The Beta is available only in Australia, Austria,
Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, UK, US. But since this is the first occasion on which OneCare is available outside the United States, Microsoft has definitely advanced with the testing process.

Here are the minimum installation requirements for Windows Live OneCare:
■ Internet Explorer 6 or higher
■ PC with 300 MHz or higher CPU clock speed
■ 256 MB of RAM
■ 550 MB of available hard disk space (on system partition)
■ 56 kbps or faster Internet connection (broadband recommended)
■ CD or DVD burner, external hard drive, local networked computer, or USB-connected storage device required for backup and restore functionality

Microsoft is not providing support for Windows XP or Vista x64 versions as yet. But it is compatible with Windows Vista RC1 Build 5600 or higher. Additionally, OneCare has bundled antivirus and anti-spyware filtering capabilities and is delivering backup to network drive and to devices such as Apple iPod, Sony 1 GB Pro Duo memory stick, 1 GB Compact Flash Card, to name but a few.
