with Microsoft Operations Manager 2005, the newly launched Microsoft product is designed to "monitor for conditions that adversely affect the availability, reliability, performance, configuration, and security of Windows Server 4.0, 2000, 2003, and 2003 R2 operating systems. The events detected indicate exceptional conditions associated with various components of Windows operations. Assists with proactive management of Windows Server 2000, 2003, and 2003 R2 systems."

This is the second update to impact the product, since MOM 2005 SP1 final version was released in 2005. "This MP update includes new functionality that enables the management of Windows 2003 R2 and its new features. Please refer to the included MP Guide for additional details. At this time only the English version of MP is available for download," wrote Microsoft.
