Microsoft has recently unveiled a brand new Windows 8.1 computer that's only 11 centimeters long and weighs just 46 grams, so it looks almost identical to a regular USB flash pen.

The dongle-PC, which takes the concept of portability to a whole new level, has been presented by Microsoft in South Korea and is manufactured in partnership with Daewoo Lucoms, a Korean company that the software giant has been working with on several other projects.

Scheduled to go on sale in May, the new device has pretty decent specs, even though it was designed from the very beginning to be extremely portable and let you take your PC with you wherever you go.

Intel processor and HDMI port

Microsoft hasn't provided the exact specifications of the device, as the company most likely wanted just to tease us before the May launch, but the picture you can see here reveals quite a lot of interesting details about this new PC on a stick device.

First and foremost, it's powered by an Intel processor and most likely features 1 or 2 GB of RAM memory to cope with Windows 8.1 requirements. As you can see for yourselves, it also comes with an HDMI port to plug in your monitor, a USB port that allows to connect a mouse and/or keyboard, a microUSB port for charging or for plugging in other devices, plus a microSD card slot for more storage space.

As far as the internal flash storage space is concerned, the device could come with either 16 GB or 32 GB, enough to install and run Windows 8.1 flawlessly.

Needless to say, the device will be upgradeable to Windows 10 when it becomes available later this year, so if you were looking for a decent PC that can help you remain productive wherever you go, this is pretty much your best option right now.

Pricing details and availability for other markets are yet to be provided and are expected to be disclosed at a later date.

Update: we reached out to Microsoft for more information about the device and the only thing we got was a "no other details available right now" reply. The company, however, promised to follow up with new information in the coming weeks.

Update 2: Microsoft has just released another photo from the live presentation of the device, but once again, more details are yet to be provided.
