Microsoft has just published a new software section in the Windows Store that provides users with the best apps to bring Windows 8, Windows Phone, and Xbox 360 together.

“These apps are designed to give you a great experience across Windows, Windows phone, and Xbox 360. Start reading a book on your Surface and pick up where you left off on your phone, or a play a game on your PC against someone on an Xbox,” the description reads.

The new software section comprises apps such as CNN for Windows 8, Netflix, WeatherBug, Xbox SmartGlass, and Twitter, but also several games including Skulls of the Shogun, Wordament, and Galactic Reign.

Most of the games come with Xbox Live support for a truly addictive experience, so you should check out the new software category as soon as possible.
