Microsoft continues efforts to promote its Skype VoIP platform, so today the software giant launched with Oprah a new campaign that calls for users to say hello to someone they haven’t talked to in a while using video messages.

The company has obviously turned to celebrities to promote the new campaign, claiming that Skype can help fight loneliness and bring people together.

“One word has the power to help you live longer. Watch as Oprah, Gayle, Jimmy Kimmel, Julia Roberts and others help us combat loneliness and demonstrate how a small gesture can make a big difference,” the campaign description reads.

If you’d like to participate to the campaign, you need to share your story with Microsoft by sending a Skype video message to skype.justsayhello and post on Twitter using the #JustSayHello hash tag.
