Microsoft’s latest line-up of customer relationship management offerings has convinced a number companies from the telecommunications industry to jump aboard the company’s CRM bandwagon.

The Redmond company revealed that telco customers such as Ericsson, Convergys, MetraTech, Redknee and Tech Mahindra are the latest adopters of the recently launched Dynamics CRM 2011.

According to information supplied by the software giant, the independent software vendors (ISV) and systems integrator (SI) partners will be using Dynamics CRM 2011 to deal with billing needs and customers care.

“It is exciting that partners recognize Microsoft Dynamics CRM can help them optimize their business and operational support offerings for telco customers, helping to deliver greater efficiencies and address new market opportunities,” revealed Brad Wilson, general manager, Microsoft Dynamics CRM Product Management Group.

“As telcos look to transform their business, innovations in billing and outstanding customer service can make all the difference. These partnerships are a testament to the familiar, intelligent and connected experiences that Microsoft Dynamics CRM provides and that telco organizations require today.”

The software giant indicated that the new Dynamics CRM adopters were convinced by the promise of increased efficiency and productivity in combination with reduced costs when it came down to the decision to embrace the new solutions.

Dynamics CRM 2011 is now available to customers worldwide, and it also comes with a Cloud version, Dynamics CRM Online, which is designed to offer the same features as the on-premise flavor.

“Communications service providers are investing in improving their automated customer care to provide a better customer experience and to lower operational costs,” added Larry Goldman, partner, research, Analysys Mason.

“It is good to see Microsoft’s continued commitment to meeting service providers’ unique needs for customer care integrated with other business support systems, like billing. Microsoft’s growing list of partners provides new options for those telcos looking to improve their customer experience.”
