The firm says it’s working as fast as it can to launch it

Windows 10 for phones preview is expected to launch anytime these days, but Microsoft still can’t provide us with any specifics on the release date, mostly because work on this very first build of the new operating system continues internally.

And yet, since so many users are waiting for the new releases, the company tries to stir up the excitement in Windows 10 for phones with some bits of information posted by Gabriel Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, on Twitter.

Recently, Aul has started tweeting from his phone running the new Windows 10 preview, which he says is still being tested internally at Microsoft.

As far as the release date is concerned, he still claims that there’s nothing new to share, but “we’re working as fast as we can” to bring it to users in the coming weeks.

Already being tested internally

Aul has also confirmed that many Microsofties have already received the new Windows 10 for phones preview in order to test it internally and make sure that no major bugs that could brick our devices exist in this early version.

And this is indeed a good thing, so we’d rather wait a little bit longer than get a very early build that’s not tested enough and which could brick our phones.

Gabe Aul says that “we’ve been using Windows 10 on our phones internally for a while as we build it, and we’re working hard to get it to you as well.” Of course, no other specifics have been provided, no matter how hard users have tried to convince him to spill the beans on the release date.

The problem with Windows 10 for phones preview is that many users are already losing their patience and call for Microsoft to make new releases available to everyone at a faster cadence.

Needless to say, in Windows Phone users’ case, this is even more frustrating, given the fact that Lumia Denim, the new firmware update that started shipping in December, is still missing from plenty of phones, including flagships such as the 930.
