Microsoft has recently launched Windows 8.1 and together with it, the company also introduced several new concepts, including new ads supposed to help devs earn more money and reach more consumers.

The company has presented the new ad system in a clip, explaining that advertisers can now incorporate videos into their ads and thus deliver a much richer story.

“What consumers will specifically see is a :15 video within several standard IAB ad units. Consumers can then choose to turn on the sound, play it in Full Screen, or go directly to the advertiser’s website to learn more about the product offering,” it said.

At the same time, Microsoft introduced what it calls Video Ad Controls, “which give advertisers the option to layer engagement elements within our Full Screen Video Product.”
