Here’s another issue that’s affecting Microsoft’s first tablet in history

Plenty of users have complained that Microsoft’s Surface with Windows RT is affected by several software issues, but it seems like the tablet is no stranger to hardware issues as well.

Several buyers have reported a faulty magnet system that causes the magnet tape on the Touch Cover to remain attached to the tablet itself.

As you can see in this video (just try to ignore the guy’s Google T-shirt), the issue appears to be caused by the strong magnet on the tablet, so Microsoft has decided to replace all faulty devices free of cost.

“I have spoken to Surface support today, this is now apparently a known issue as a manufacturing fault. I have been told I will have to wait another 5 days for a replacement because they are going to raise my order again,” an affected user said on Surfaceforums.net.
