14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has launched a new discount promo for the Surface RT in the United States, but it now appears that the company is offering the device at special prices in both Europe and Australia.
Local versions of the Microsoft online store reveal that the $150 (€110) price cut is available not only in the United States, but also in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and several European countries, such as Germany and France.
The reasons for this new discount campaign are unknown for the time being, but it’s believed that Microsoft is trying to clear out inventories before the public launch of the second-generation Surface.
Word is that Microsoft is planning to launch the device in October, just ahead of the holiday season, together with the new Windows 8.1 OS update.
