The company rolls out a new batch of improvements for its first tablet in history

Together with Patch Tuesday fixes, Microsoft has also rolled out a new firmware update for the Surface RT, the first tablet in its history.

The update packs a total of three different improvements, all of which are supposed to improve the overall performance of the device.

The new release includes an UEFI firmware update that enhances Surface RT speaker volume and improves system stability, as well as a driver pack that improves performance and works with the updated UEFI firmware to enhance Surface RT speaker volume.

Last but not least, Microsoft explained that the Trackpad Settings driver had been improved for the Surface Type Cover in order to provide Japanese users with support for the app.

As usual, the firmware update is being delivered via the built-in Windows Update option, so make sure you fully charge the battery before applying this new round of improvements.
