14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft introduced the new Surface Pro 3 yesterday as part of an invitation-only press event in New York, thus expanding the tablet lineup with a new model that's specifically aimed at corporate users.
The Surface Pro 3 comes with a 12-inch full HD screen with a resolution of 2160x1440 and offers multiple memory and storage configuration, depending on your options and needs.
The 4GB RAM version can be equipped with either 64 GB or 128 GB of storage space, while the 8GB RAM model comes with 256 GB or 512 GB of storage.
“Featuring a gorgeous 12-inch display encased in a sleek magnesium frame, Surface Pro 3 is the thinnest and lightest in our Pro family. Refined to its essential elements, Surface Pro 3 is as beautiful as it is functional so you can stay productive from anywhere. Just slip it into your bag or backpack and go,” Microsoft says.
As far as the processing power is concerned, the Surface Pro 3 benefits from a 4th generation Intel chip and depending on version, you can choose between i3, i5, or i7.
It obviously runs the full version of Windows 8.1 Pro and boasts two different 5.0 megapixel cameras on both the front and the rear of the device.
There are several connectivity options, including a full-size USB 3.0, a microSD card reader, a headset jack, a mini display port and a cover port that allows users to connect the new-generation Type Covers, also introduced by Microsoft as part of yesterday's event.
