Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Could Launch Next Week – Report
Redmond could be ready to introduce a new version of its top of the range tablet
Microsoft is expected to unveil the new Surface Mini during an event next week, but according to some sources, the company might also present an update to the Pro model. Now it turns out that the Surface Pro 3 might also be unveiled during the event, according to a small teaser posted on Microsoft's Support page and first reported by The Verge.
The new update info claims that a new patch released by Microsoft this month for Windows 8.1 “adds support to the Surface Pro 3 camera.” Of course, this could indeed be a hint that a new Surface is coming, but at the same time, it might be just a small typo if the company actually referred to the Surface Pro 2.
No technical specs are available right now, but people close to the matter previously said that an upgraded Surface Pro 2 tablet would definitely come with a new power-optimized Intel Haswell processor. The tablet would obviously run Windows 8.1 Update and offer support for desktop applications, just like its predecessor.
Microsoft is yet to release some official words on this, so let's take everything with a pinch of salt until we do receive a statement from the Redmond-based company.
