Support staff says that Microsoft is still working on the firmware

Although Microsoft was expected to release a Surface Pro 2 firmware update on this month’s Patch Tuesday to correct issues caused to tablets in December 2013, no such patch was included in the rollout, so everybody’s wondering what’s happening with the new firmware version for their tablets.

According to some users who talked to Microsoft support staff, Redmond is still working on the firmware update, so the company delayed the release for a few days.

While some are claiming that the new firmware could be launched as soon as today, others are pointing out that Microsoft is expected to introduce the revised patch sometime this week.

Even though the software giant isn’t saying anything official, it’s pretty clear that the new firmware update is very close, so expect to hear more about this in just a few days.

We’ve also reached out to Microsoft for a word on this, so we’ll update the article accordingly.
