While Microsoft struggles to promote the Surface tablet, be it the RT or the Pro version, one more study comes out to show that users actually like iPads more than anything else.

A study conducted by research firm Yankee Group and involving 506 consumers who planned to purchase a new tablet revealed that the Surface is one of the least desired tablets on the market, alongside Google Nexus 7, Acer, Asus and Motorola units.

The iPad, on the other hand, continues to rule the tablet world with 47 percent of the votes, followed by Amazon and Samsung with 7 and 6 percent, respectively.

In the meantime, Microsoft is working on expansion plans for both the Surface RT and the Pro, with new markets to receive the two tablets in the coming months. The company also struggles to bring more Pro units in stores across the US and Canada, citing an “amazing” demand as the main reason for the shortage.
