Apple’s own iPad still holds the leading spot in J.D. Power’s survey

Microsoft expects the Surface tablet, be it the RT or the Pro, to get the first place in customer rankings all over the world, but that’s not the case for the time being. Not in J.D. Power’s survey, at least.

The latest owner satisfaction study rolled out by J.D. Power and Associates for the United States confirms that Apple’s own iPad is still the number one tablet on the market, with an overall score of 836 points, followed by devices from Amazon, Samsung, Asus and Acer.

As you can see, Microsoft’s Surface is missing from the survey that’s based on five key factors, including performance, ease of operation, styling and design, features and cost.

So, the Redmond-based tech giant still has a lot of work to do to convince buyers that its devices are at least worth a shot.

Microsoft, on the other hand, is struggling to make the Surface available in some other markets too, with the Pro model scheduled to go on sale in Europe by the end of May.
