14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has officially started the preorder program for the second-generation Surface tablet, so if you wish to buy a Surface 2 or a Surface Pro 2, you can reserve one right now.
The tech giant has already announced that shipments would begin on October 22, four days after the launch of Windows 8.1.
There are two different versions of the Surface 2, with 32 GB or 64 GB of storage space, while pricing begins at $449 (€335). The Surface Pro 2, on the other hand, is available in four different models, with storage capacity ranging in between 64 GB and 512 GB. Pricing, this time, starts at $899 (€665).
Both units are running Microsoft’s new Windows 8.1 operating system, and come with improved hardware and longer battery life.
